Barlestone Youth 2 Desford Eagles 2
Final match of the season was a close encounter with Barlestone twice taking the lead through Stephan Storino but each time being pegged back by a spirited Desford side. Gary Perrin, Billy Hextall, Bradley Powell, Callum Beesley, Thomas Kirk, Thomas Akroyd Jack Coleman Charlie Normington, Elliot Granger and Brandon Poyser all played their part... Well done lads.

Barlestone Youth Under 9s 1 Barwell Foxes 3
Barlestone went down 3-1 in a hard fought game. This was probably their best performance of the season in terms of effort and endeavour. We were unlucky to go behind in the first half when a long range effort caught Gary Perrin unaware and crept in to the goal. With Billy Hextall and Brad Powell solid at the back, we gave as good as we got for long periods. Barwell scored a second just after the break with a well worked goal. Barwell's third goal came 5 minutes later. Thomas Kirk put in some strong challenges and Tom Akroyd and Callum Beesley were on top in midfield. Stephan Storino played one of his best games up front and got a well deserved consolation goal 5 minutes from time. Charlie Normington, Jack Coleman, Elliot Granger and Brandon Poyser all played well when they came on.

Hinckley Kinghts 6 Barlestone Youth 1
After taking the lead through Stephan Storino, Barlestone Youth succumbed to constant pressure from a very good Hinckley side. Gary Perrin was again outstanding in goal. Brad Powell, Billy Hextall, Thomas Kirk, Callum Beesley, Thomas Akroyd, Charlie Normington, Jack Coleman and Elliot Granger tried their best but could not prevent our heaviest defeat of the season.

Barlestone Youth 0 Soccer Dreams Knights 2
Barlestone went down to a very strong Soccer Dreams side, by 2 goals to nil. Soccer Dreams only goal in the first half was a long range shot into the bottom corner, giving Gary Perrin no chance. Captain Bradley Powell was excellent in defence, and was well supported by Billy Hextall and Thomas Kirk. Callum Beesley and Thomas Akroyd worked well in midfield and Charlie Normington played well up front, but had little service. In the second half, Barlestone had a go at Soccer Dreams, but could not break down their well organised defence. Stephan Storino had a couple of good runs and Jack Coleman, Brandon Poyser and Elliot Granger did well when they came on. Soccer Dreams got a second goal late on when the ball fortunately bounced back off a post to their centre forward to tap in.

Barlestone Youth 3 Rugby Bears 0
Another excellent performance from the lads, who were without their top scorer. We took the lead early on through Charlie Normington who had a great game, he could have had a hat trick, with a little more luck. Thomas Akroyd smashed in the second in the second half and Bradley Powell scored direct from a corner to make it 3-0. Gary Perrin played well in goal but fell ill and had to be replaced by Thomas Akroyd, who did well as a substitute goalie. Billy Hextall and Thomas Kirk played well at the back and Callum Beesley was superb in midfield and defence. Brandon Poyser and Jack Coleman did very well when they came on. The whole team contributed to the result - Well done lads, secnd clean sheet of the season.

Westfield Wanderers 1 Barlestone Youth 4
Barlestone took an early lead through Stephan Storino's cool finish, which was quickly followed by an own goal and another fronm Storino, to put Barlestone into a commanding 3-0 lead. This gave the manager the opportunity to give the squad a longer run out and the changes were rung. Thomas Akroyd added the fourth before half time and the result was beyond doubt. Gary Perrin in goal touched the ball for the first time in the match in the second half, when he picked it out of the net!! Callum Beesley had an excellent match putting in some strong challenges, Thomas Kirk Billy Hextall and captain Bradley Powell played well too. Jack Coleman, Brandon Poyser and Elliot Granger all came close to scoring in the sceond half and Charlie Normington worked hard. A good performance from the lads brought home the points!! Well done boys!!

Barlestone Youth 1 Barwell Foxes 5
We started the game without 2 first choice players and the side took time to settle into their positions. Barwell were a strong side, with some big physical players who controlled the game. Gary Perrin again made some great saves in goal, but at half time we were 3-0 down. In the second half, we took the game to Barwell and made a game of it, Thomas Akroyd earned a penalty when he was bought down in the box after an excellent run. Thomas picked himself up to tuck the penalty away to pull the score back to 4-1. Barwell scored a fifth late on and deserved their victory. Brad Powell and Callum Beesley put in some strong challenges at the back and Charlie Normington, Brandon Poyser, Elliot Granger and Jack Coleman worked hard in the middle of the park and Stephan Storino got littlr support up front.

Desford Eagles 0 Barlestone Youth 1
Barlestone recorded their third win of the season with a hard fought one nil victory against Desford Eagles. Barlestone overcame the difficult conditions, of a wet and sloping pitch which made flowing football difficult! Gary Perrin in goal was excellent and was delighted to record his first clean sheet of the season. Stefan Storino scored the winner in the second half with an excellent low shot into the bottom corner, for his fourth goal of the season. Bradley Powell led the team by example and was solid at the back with Billy Hextall. Charlie Normington and Thomas Kirk also worked hard in defence and gave the opposition little time on the ball. Callum Beesley was his usual busy self in midfield, Thomas Akroyd delivered some excellent corners and supported Sefan Storino well up front. Jack Coleman, Elliot Granger and Brandon Poyser also played well when they came on. Well done lads!!!!

Barlestone Youth 0 Hinckley Knights 3
Barlestone went down to a very strong Hinckley side after dominating a goaless first half, Stefan Storino came closest to breaking the deadlock, when he hit the bar. Thomas Akroyd also had a couple of good chances saved by the Hinckley keeper. Gary Perrin also made some good saves and Billy Hextall and Brad Powell were solid at the back. Hinckley scored 3 times in the second half, with well worked goals, but the result flattered them. Thomas Kirk and Callum Beesley worked tirelessly and Jack Coleman also got some good tackles in. Brandon Poyser and Elliott Granger made up the squad.

Soccer Dreams Knights 4 Barlestone Youth 0
Barlestone went down to a very good Soccer Dreams team by four goals to nil. Had it not been for the excellent Gary Perrin in goal, Barlestone's defeat would have been a lot heavier, Gary pulled off a number of fine saves and his handling was top class. Barlestone conceded some sloppy goals, and concentration seemed lacking at times from the players, who tried their best but were beaten, on this occasion by the better side. Team - Gary Perrin, Bradley Powell, Billy Hextall, Thomas Kirk, Callum Beesley (capt), Thomas Akroyd, Stefan Storino, Charlie Normington, Brandon Poyser, Elliot Granger and Jack Coleman.

Barlestone scored an early goal through Thomas Akroyd, who lobbed the keeper from 20 yards, after 2 minutes. Further Barlestone pressure couldn't break down the Rugby defence, Stefan Storino and Callum Beesley going close. With Gary Perrin, again assured in goal and Billy Hextall, Bradley Powell, Thomas Kirk and Charlie Normington solid at the back, Barlestone went further ahead when Jack Coleman headed in Thomas Akroyd's corner, to make it 2-0. Brandon Poyser also played his part with some excellent challenges in the middle of the park. Rugby pulled a goal back late on, but Barlestone held on for a well deserved victory. Well done lads.

Barlestone under 9s lost by 4 goals to nil against a very good Stoke Golding side. We fell one behind in the closing seconds of the first half after an excellent defensive display, with Bradley Powell and Billy Hextall solid at the back and Gary Perrin outstanding in goal. Thomas Kirk and Charlie Normington worked hard in midfield, along with Thomas Akroyd and Callum Beesley, with Stefan Storino unlucky up front. In the second half, as changes were made, the team lost their shape a bit and Stoke Golding ran in three more goals. We done to Elliot Granger, Brandon Poyser and Jack Coleman who also played their part. We now look forward to facing Rugby Bears away next Sunday.
